Basic features of the QSEC licensing model
- There are three editions with different basic functions and optional additional modules.
- QSEC distinguishes between expert users (full access) and action users (perform tasks).
- QSEC works on the basis of scopes. These are organizational areas of the company to which regulations and standards are assigned.
- The ISO 27001 and GDPR standards are included in every QSEC edition; other standards can be added on request.

QSEC Core
The QSEC standard with all basic functions. All compliance modules included. Enables working in a team.
QSEC PROFESSIONAL
Ideal for more complex structures. Comprehensive GRC and ISMS requirements, extended connectivity.
QSEC ENTERPRISE
Most comprehensive edition for large companies with many users and areas of investigation.

Frequently asked questions
QSEC uses a monthly rental model for its licensing, which is based on the number of employees in your company.
As soon as a new version of QSEC is available, the responsible contact person in your company will be informed. An appointment is then made for our team to support the installation of the new version to ensure a smooth transition and continuous optimization of your security processes.
QSEC is available in German and/or English.
Before QSEC is installed in the customer data center or in the private cloud, the system is customized at Nexis GRC GmbH according to customer specifications and tested by the customer. After interim acceptance by the customer, the system is installed in accordance with Nexis GRC’s system and setup requirements. The setup files can be made available for download for this purpose. Installation directly by a Nexis GRC employee on site is of course also possible. As QSEC is a web application, the software is operated by the user via a browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.). No further installation on the end devices is necessary.
The QSEC system is organized according to scopes. There are 1-n scopes available. The scopes are set up internally by the QSEC manager according to the individual requirements Nexis GRC GmbH S. 6 Classification and can be selected by the user in the QSEC start bar based on the assigned authorizations.
QSEC has authorizations in the form of expert users (full access) and action users (complete tasks). Expert users are subdivided into super and power users.
In QSEC, only those functions are visible to the user for which he/she is authorized. An overview of the rights you have set in QSEC is available to the administrator responsible.
Yes, QSEC is Configuration Management Database (CMDB)-compatible.
The requirements of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) can be assessed in QSEC. In the ITIL assessment, we are not talking about compatibility, but about an assessment, i.e. whether the IT service organization works in compliance with ITIL. QSEC takes into account the requirements of working according to the ISO 20000 standard.
The ISMS system QSEC is set up on the customer’s own databases (MS SQL Server or MS SQL Express). Installation on other databases is not currently planned.
